To provide the youth of Baltimore with caddie training, leadership development, and life skills. Our program offers participants the opportunity to build valuable relationships and experience activities that will benefit their futures.
To create an equitable and inclusive community, built on relationships between Baltimore’s youth and golf club members.
Loop. Learn. Lead.
The Loop is a camp-based non-profit organization that provides Baltimore’s youth with caddie training, leadership development, and life skills opportunities. Our model creates an opportunity for participants to value hard work and attention to detail, provide access to successful people, and develop confidence to reach their full potential. We rely on golf club members to engage our caddies, provide mentorship, and build meaningful relationships with them. We believe these interactions will create a system of social sustainability in Baltimore.
In addition to caddie training, we provide our kids with a fun, educational, and immersive overnight camp experience. Over the six-weeks our campers participate in a variety of activities that provide them the opportunity to develop leadership and life skills. They are constantly challenged by team building activities to learn more about themselves and how to work together to achieve their goals. We partner with people and organizations that facilitate valuable life skills lessons such as financial literacy, volunteering, and corporate/college visits. In the dorm of McDonogh School, they are responsible for preparing meals, doing laundry, and building healthy hygiene habits. We reward our participants by taking them on fun leisure activities by going to the movies, bowling, and amusement parks.
